In the
densely populated landscape of Countryside, Clearwater City Park- Lake
Chautauqua Park and an adjoining nature preserve are a 70-acre oasis of
wilderness and serenity. There is a paved bicycle and hiking trail through the
“Park” and a 2-mile-long shell trail for horse riders, walkers and mountain
bikers through the “Nature Preserve”. A wooden boardwalk/ pier goes out into
the middle of the freshwater lake. A 27
acre addition on the south side will soon have more parking, trail benches, and
another entrance into the park.
